Dutch Gaming Authority fines Blue High House27 November 2024(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Dutch Gaming Authority imposes a fine of €1,125,000 on Blue High House S.A. for offering online games of chance without the necessary license. Earlier, Blue High House was already subjected to a penalty payment for the illegal offer. On the website concreteline.ag, owned by Blue High House, Dutch players could participate in online gambling. No measures had been taken to exclude players from the Netherlands. In its investigation, the Ksa found several abuses that led to a higher fine than the basic fine of €600,000 imposed. The offer on the aforementioned website has now stopped, but the Ksa ensures that the provider does not offer illegally on the Dutch market via other means again. If the KSA does notice this, new sanctions can follow. Michel Groothuizen, chairman of the board of the Ksa: ‘The Netherlands has a legal market to ensure that people who want to gamble can do so safely. With illegal providers, as in this case blue high house, we often see that risky playing behavior is not taken into account in any way. This allows players on this website to create an account without having to verify their age, allowing minors to play. We also saw things like car play and turboplay, which can encourage excessive play, and there were no playing limits. The Ksa acts hard against these kinds of illegal websites.”
