Durango Casino & Resort unveils beverage program

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Durango Casino & Resort announced its groundbreaking beverage program, set to debut when the property opens on Tuesday, 5 December. Guests can expect an astonishing range of beverages, carefully crafted to provide an exceptional cocktail experience. With an emphasis on seasonality, quality, creativity and variety, the beverage offerings at Durango will ensure each visit to the resort's elegant bars will be an unforgettable one.

Elevated signature cocktail offerings will be at the core of the resort’s beverage program as a variety of venues, including OASIS, Nicco’s, DRNK, Casino Bar, High Limit Bars, Oyster Bar, STN Sportsbook bar, Bel-Aire Lounge and Wax Rabbit, will each offer a unique and immersive experience sure to satisfy every palate. Please see below for an overview of each destination’s offerings:

Oasis, located in the heart of the casino floor, provides a hub of energy and hand-crafted cocktails amid the vibrant table games pits. The warm and inviting interiors offer a welcoming ambiance, perfect for enjoying a whimsical cocktail inspired by desert botanicals and tropical escapes. Some standout options at Oasis include the Zen Universe with Ketel One vodka, mancino sakura, cucumber, yuzu, lemon, peychaud's bitters and egg whites served tableside with a lychee aromatic vapor revealed via a glass cloche; the Birds of Paradise with Diplomatico Reserva, Appleton Estate Signature, Bacardi, rhum j.m., agricole, hibiscus falernum, combier, toasted coconut, pineapple, lime, and nutmeg; among many others.

Nicco's Prime Cuts & Fresh Meats, the property’s signature steakhouse, will offer a blend of 12 signature and classically inspired cocktails incorporating modern techniques and social worthy presentations, with a vintage glam twist. Signature cocktails include On Cloud Nine with Absolut Elyx vodka, jasmine cocchi americano, italicus, raspberry, yuzu, lemon and albrecht cremant sparkling rosé finished tableside with a cloud of aromatic mountain berry tea; Where the Flowers Bloom with Tanqueray Ten gin, lavender and hibiscus blanc vermouth, créme de violette, vanilla, lemon and prosecco; The Aphrodisiac Myth with Patron silver tequila, dolin genepy, avocado and yogurt crema, aji amarillo pepper, pineapple, passionfruit, and lime; and more. Adding to the experience, guests will be welcomed to enjoy large format cocktails such as the Green Fairy (68 oz.) made with Casamigos blanco tequila, absinthe, cocchi americano vermouth, sencha green tea honey, chareau aloe, cucumber, lemon and sparkling wine. This bright and refreshing take on a tequila sour will make for the ultimate sharing experience for four as it is dispensed through a vintage absinthe fountain.

At DRNK, the high-energy bar central to the Eat You Heart Out Hall of Foods experience, a craft approach will be taken to the traditional frozen cocktails, utilizing unexpected flavors with premium spirits, fresh herbs, purées, juices, and house-made syrups. Guests will be able to enjoy frozen “slushy” cocktail selections including the Aperol Spritz with Aperol, prosecco and citrus; the Aviation with Sipsmith gin, crème de violette, Luxardo maraschino and lemon; and the Paloma with Herradura Blanco tequila and grapefruit. Each frozen offering can be served as a single, large or a mix and match flight of four, or choose from a wide selection of local craft beers, wines and cocktails on tap.

Casino Bar will make for the perfect destination to watch a game, play video poker and more while enjoying a selection of classic cocktails. The menu will include the famed Southside cocktail, created in 1916, with Sipsmith gin, mint and lime; and the all-time favorite Hemingway Daiquiri, established in the 1920’s, with Bacardi white rum, Luxardo maraschino, grapefruit, and lime; and the popular Espresso Martini, created in 1983, featuring Stoli vanilla, Mr. Black and espresso.

The High Limit Bars will provide an elevated yet approachable experience for those seeking a luxury spirit catalog. Featuring an extensive selection, guests will be welcomed to personalize their spirit of choice, enjoy classic cocktails, or choose from the delectable wine and champagne by the glass program that has been expertly curated with every guest in mind.

STN Sportsbook Bar will be the gathering place for beer lovers and sports fans alike. Classic beer and shot combos are given an upgrade with fresh draft cocktails and spirit-forward pairings such as the Pacifico and Paloma; Elysian Space Dust IPA and Gold Rush; and a Guiness and Jameson. Additionally, an array of regional brew favorites and seasonal beers from the valley’s best local brew houses will be available. The STN Sportsbook Bar is immediately adjacent to The George Sportsmen’s Lounge which will also offer a variety of specialty cocktails created by Corporate Beverage Director Mark Hefter, including The Takei, featuring Takei 15 Haku Vodka, lemon juice, yuzu syrup served with crushed ice and in a lemon logoed cup.

The Oyster Bar, modeled after the world-famous Palace Station Oyster Bar, will provide an exquisite dining experience and feature classic New Orleans style cocktails and craft beers. Signature cocktails like The Big Easy with Ketel One, peach, lime, ginger beer, cajun spice, and peychaud's bitters, and the Catch of the Day with Casamigos Blanco, genepy, triple sec, lime, and habanero tincture will be a few of the destination’s must-tries.

Bel-Aire Lounge’s meticulously crafted beverage program, created by Nadine Medina, will be underscored by handcrafted cocktails that are as artful as they are tantalizing. Specialty offerings include the orange sherbet, crafted with Belvedere vodka, Monin cantaloupe syrup, coconut water, turmeric powder, cinnamon orange herbal tea, and garnished with papaya lemon zest foam, a dehydrated orange slice, and a sprinkle of blue cornflowers; and the Blue Blossom, made with gin, Monin violet syrup, fresh lemon juice, yuzu juice, rose water, angostura cocoa bitters, egg whites, and garnished with a blue pansy and dehydrated cornflowers.

Wax Rabbit will be an immersive cocktail lounge hidden behind the walls of Mijo Modern Mexican Restaurant. Its cutting-edge mixology program, created by Nadine Medina, will pair the rich flavors of classic libations with Mexico’s finest spirits, highlighting the flavors of expertly curated mezcals and tequilas. Cocktails, which include the Nopales, made with Patron reposado tequila, Ancho Reyes chile liqueur, cactus and mint, will honor Mexico’s rich spirits heritage, while extravagant cocktails designed for sharing will tantalize guests’ taste buds, such as the Candy Jar, which features Botanist gin, aloe vera, acai, blueberry Red Bull and vanilla, exquisitely presented in a lidded glass vessel.

Durango Casino & Resort's extensive beverage program will aim to cater to the diverse tastes of its guests, offering unique and enticing options at each of its venues.
