DraftKings to host special contest to benefit victims of Typhoon Haiyan5 December 2013(PRESS RELEASE) -- Typhoon Haiyan was one of the most devastating storms in history, with sustained winds that reached over 195 mph. Over 5,200 people lost their lives, and over 3 million more were displaced with no shelter and no power. Relief efforts today focus on providing clean water and living conditions to those who were so severely impacted, and are now at risk for disease. Continuing our tradition of serving our community, locally and globally, DraftKings is hosting a fantasy football fundraiser to benefit the victims of this terrible storm.
