DraftKings Casino pays out two progressive jackpots

24 May 2023

(PRESS RELEASE) -- In October 2022, DraftKings became the first iGaming platform in North America to deliver cross-game genre linked progressive jackpots to customers exclusively in New Jersey. Just recently, DraftKings Casino has expanded its progressive jackpot product beyond New Jersey to include customers in West Virginia.

Just last week, two DraftKings Casino customers in West Virginia got in on the progressive jackpot excitement, taking home big winnings. One player won $670,063.50 with a $0.10 bet on 5 Treasures, while the other player won $453,031.65 with a $0.10 bet on Ultra Blazing Fire Link, totaling $1,123,095.15 in combined payouts.

“As a leading iGaming operator in the U.S., DraftKings is always looking at ways to engage with our players and provide them with a first-class online gaming entertainment experience,” said Thomas Winter, DraftKings iGaming North America General Manager. “Expanding our Jackpots product to West Virginia does exactly that. Offerings like our progressive jackpot enhance the customer experience and make DraftKings Casino the preferred place to play. Congratulations to our latest jackpot winners, and we look forward to more big wins like this in the future.”

In addition to the recent winners in West Virginia, the current progressive jackpot in New Jersey is now over $2.44 million, which is an all-time high since the product was released in 2022.

Eligible customers in New Jersey and West Virginia can opt-in to make an additional wager on over 90 jackpot-eligible games for a chance at winning the progressive jackpot.

Launched in 2018, DraftKings Casino is live in five states, representing approximately 11% of the U.S. population. In its recent earnings report, DraftKings estimated that the company’s iGaming GGR share was No.1 in the U.S. during the first quarter of 2023, representing a DraftKings record of 26%.
