Dover Downs' March Getaway Weekend features six poker tournaments

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Six Texas Hold'em tournaments with more than $70,000 in guaranteed prizes, including one with $40,000 guaranteed, highlight the 17-19 March Getaway Weekend at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino's Poker Room.
The Getaway Weekend tournament schedule includes:
- Friday, 17 March, 11:15 a.m.: $20,000 guaranteed, $225 buy-in, 30 minute blinds, 30,000 starting stack
- Friday, 17 March, 7:15 p.m.: $1,500 guaranteed, $35 buy-in, 15 minute blinds, 30,000 starting stack
- Saturday, 18 March, 11:15 a.m.: $40,000 guaranteed, $275 buy-in, 30 minute blinds, 30,000 starting stack
- Saturday, 18 March, 7:15 p.m.: $1,500 guaranteed, $35 buy-in, 20 minute blinds, 30,000 starting stack
- Sunday, 19 March, 11:15 a.m.: $10,000 guaranteed, $115 buy-in, 15 minute blinds, 20,000 starting stack
- Sunday, 19 March, 7:15 p.m.: $500 guaranteed, $35 buy-in, 15 minute blinds, 30,000 starting stack
There will be two satellite events for the Saturday, 18 March, $40,000-guaranteed tournament and one for the Friday, 17 March, $20,000-guaranteed tournament. One player out of every 10 entries will earn a seat into the respective events. The satellite schedule is:
- Monday, 13 March, 7:15 p.m.: $35 buy-in (satellite for $40,000 event)
- Wednesday, 15 March, 7:15 p.m.: $35 buy-in (satellite for $40,000 event)
- Thursday, 16 March, 7:15 p.m.: $30 buy-in (satellite for $20,000 event)
Also, all players who are dealt in the first hand of the March satellites and tournaments will receive a bonus of 500 in tournament chips. Players that register for the March tournaments more than one hour prior to the scheduled start receive a bonus 1,000 in tournament chips with their starting stack.
There will be a limited number of $49 per night hotel rooms for players who participate in the 17-18 March 11:15 a.m. tournaments. Tournament registration must be shown to the front desk to get the discounted rate. Call (800)-711-5882 to register, using the promo code CMAGW17.
Additional March promotions in the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino Poker Room include:
- Cash Back: In Texas Hold'em cash games, players can earn $2 in cash and $1 in comp per hour of play. Visit poker room for complete details.
- Hotel Rooms: With four hours of poker play, hotel rooms are as low as $29 Sunday through Thursday and $99 on Friday and Saturday.
- Bad Beat Hands: In many cash games or tournaments, lose with a hand as low as Jacks Full and collect a bonus of $300-$600.
- Daily High Hand Contests: Win up to $900 from noon to 2 a.m. Payouts on the even-numbered hours.
- Hot Seats: Win up to $900 at 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. from Thursday through Sunday.
- $100 High Card: First full cash table before noon receives a $100 high-card hand.
Daily $50 Food Comp: Highest winning hand from 10 a.m. to noon receives a $50 food comp.
