Dover Downs Crown Royal poker room hosting Thanksgiving getaway weekend19 October 2015(PRESS RELEASE) -- A series of tournaments surrounding the Thanksgiving holiday will be featured in November in the Crown Royal Poker Room at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino. The Poker Room’s next Getaway Weekend features tournaments from Wednesday, Nov. 25 to Sunday, Nov. 29, including one on Thanksgiving night, with prize pools ranging from $1,500 to $40,000 guaranteed. The tournaments scheduled include: · $35 buy-in, Monday, Nov. 23, satellite (one in 10 players wins seat to Nov. 29 tourney), 7:15 p.m. · $85 buy-in, Wednesday, Nov. 25, $5,000 guaranteed in prize pool, 7:15 p.m. · $45 buy-in, Thanksgiving evening, $1,500 guaranteed in prize pool, 7:15 p.m. · $150 buy-in, Friday, Nov. 27, $15,000 guaranteed in prize pool, 11:15 a.m. · $250 buy-in, Saturday, Nov. 28, $40,000 guaranteed in prize pool, 11:15 a.m. · $35 buy-in, Sunday, Nov. 29, $3,500 guaranteed in prize pool, 11:15 a.m. In addition, the Crown Royal Poker Room will hold a $1,000 cash drawing for tournament players on Sunday, Nov. 29. Other November highlights include $50 food comps for the highest winning hand at a cash table from 9 a.m. to noon each day, reduced hotel room rates for poker players and overnight high hand contests for a $300 prize. Don’t forget, there are plenty of TVs to watch every professional football game and top college football contests throughout the season.
