Dostoyevsky Descendant Wants Lottery Tickets Changed

ST. PETERSBURG, Russia – As reported by the Interfax-Northwest: "The great-great- grandson of Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoyevsky is involved in litigation demanding that the writer's picture be removed from lottery tickets.

"Dmitry Dostoyevsky claims that the purpose of putting his ancestor's face on Honest Game lottery tickets is to remind their holders of the novelist's notorious paranoia for gambling.

"…Staff at the Dostoyevsky Literary and Memorial Museum say Dmitry Dostoyevsky's consent is legally necessary for the use of his ancestor's name for any commercial enterprise…"
