Doncaster Racecourse in good shape after expansion

15 December 2009

CASTER, England -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Following a multi-million pound development, completed in 2007, Doncaster Racecourse now skillfully blends the traditional with the contemporary as the facilities host some of the most celebrated fixtures in British racing history.

Top class sport and great entertainment is planned throughout the year starting with the British Flat Racing Season kicking off with the Lincoln Meeting at the end of every March, the famous four-day St. Leger Festival in September, the Racing Post Trophy at the end of October, and the November Handicap a celebration of the end of the British Flat Racing Season. The National Hunt season then starts from December to the beginning of March.

There are four enclosures, Family (prices start from £5), Grandstand (prices start from £12), County (prices start from £20) and Premier (prices start from £22) but during the National Hunt Season the County and Grandstand merge into the 'Combined' Enclosure offering great value for money.

Dress codes apply in some enclosures. Children under the age of 16 are admitted into the racecourse for free (a maximum of 3 children per adult).
