Discussion with tribes over live racing cuts

13 September 2013

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Fair Meadows Race Track is in discussion with three tribes about ending live racing at the track, the Tulsa World reported.

The decline in attendance of live racing at the track is challenging the future of its live racing, the report said.

The three tribes are the Osage, Cherokee and Creek nations, who pay into a statewide purse fund, but Fair Meadows stressed no agreement has been reached, the Tulsa World report noted.
