Deputies To Close More Gambling Parlors12 May 2004FORT WORTH, Texas -- As reported by NBC5I.com: ``Tarrant County deputies said they will be closing down more illegal gambling operations on Wednesday. ``Authorities shut down Gloria's Place on Stephenson Levy Road on Tuesday. Deputies seized 50 8-Liner machines and cash in the raid. ``The closures continue what has been a string of raids by the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department. ``In Janurary, sheriff's deputies seized about 100 machines and cash from the Pot of Gold near Kennedale. ``The sheriff said undercover deputies found the parlor was giving away prizes greater than the law allows. "I've said all along if you don't stop, if you don't get out of the business, this is what's gonna happen," said Sheriff Dee Anderson..." |
