Delaware racinos encouraged by report23 January 2008DELAWARE -- As reported by the Delaware News Journal: "Delaware racino operators said they're encouraged by a recent state report saying sports betting would help fill the state's depleted tax coffers. "...A report by three state agencies speculated that sports betting could bring $26.3 million into the state's general fund in 2010, the projected first year of operation. "Just $3.2 million would come from sports betting itself; $23.1 million would come from people attracted by sports betting who then play the slots.
