Delaware Park to set World Record for Longest Continuous Poker Tournament13 August 2012WILMINGTON, Delaware -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Delaware Park’s Ironman Poker Challenge will begin August 25 at noon and will run to completion without breaks. A new Guinness World RecordTM for the “Longest Continuous Poker Tournament” will be established late Sunday evening after the tournament has run for 36 hours. Last year, 376 participants helped to establish a new world record for the “Longest ‘Documented’ Continuous Poker Tournament” at 31 hours and 58 minutes. This year’s challenge will once again carry a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000 and will be broadcast live at http://www.delawarepark.com/ironman.php. The Buy-In is $600, and the tournament is limited to 350 seats (alternates will be seated as seats become available). Besides the chance to take home the championship and the first place prize of at least $24,000, players will have the opportunity to be a part of poker history.
