Delaware Park collecting for food bank4 November 2011NEWARK, Delaware -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Delaware Park will once again be accepting canned goods to benefit the Food Bank of Delaware this holiday season. During its 2009 and 2010 food drives, Delaware Park collected 8,015 pounds of food for the Food Bank of Delaware. “With so many local families in need, I have no doubt our guests will rise to the challenge” This year, Delaware Park hopes to surpass the previous benchmarks set by its generous patrons. “With so many local families in need, I have no doubt our guests will rise to the challenge,” stated Chief Operating Officer Andrew Gentile. As a show of appreciation, Delaware Park will give a one-time reward of 10 free slot dollars to each person donating canned goods to the Food Bank.
