Delaware Park Casino celebrates completion of $10 million renovation

25 January 2024

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Delaware Park Casino & Racing announced today the successful completion of its transformative $10 million renovation marking a new era of excitement, and continuous innovation. The main casino floor now features top-rated, state-the-art slot titles, new high limit table games, enhanced dining options, and a modern design creating one of the most compelling casino experiences in the region. To commemorate this significant milestone, the casino hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and an exclusive tour on 25 January, welcoming dignitaries, stakeholders, project partners, VIP guests, and team members.

In conjunction with the celebration, Terry Glebocki, President & General Manager of Delaware Park Casino made the exciting announcement that, beginning today, it will keep its main slot floor open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, creating opportunities for guests to enjoy the excitement of gaming and entertainment at any hour.

“This renovation has been a year-long labor of love, and it would not have been possible without our partners and the incredible team here at Delaware Park Casino, many of whom have worked here for over 30 years,” said Glebocki. “I could not be more pleased with the outcome, and I’m thrilled to welcome players, patrons and guests from near and far to see and experience what we have created.”

Impeccable Design:

The vision behind Delaware Park Casino’s multi-million-dollar transformation was brought to life by Paul Heretakis and his team from Westar Architects, a world-class design firm from Las Vegas. The impeccable design features custom chandeliers, modern gaming furniture, custom carpeting, vaulted ceilings, and captivating wall murals. The design transformation aims to create a modern and comfortable atmosphere, bringing notes of Las Vegas and Atlantic City to Delaware.

Unparalleled Gaming:

Throughout the duration of the renovation, Delaware Park Casino added a first-class assortment of more than 1,500 new slot machines and titles, including 200 premium Link machines and a dedicated “Link Lounge.” The Link Lounge is home to 49 top slot themes from the nation’s leading producer of slot games, Aristocrat Gaming, including Dollar Storm, Lightning Link, Buffalo Link, Dragon Link, and Lightning Dollar Link with more to come.

Delaware Park Casino also added a new, dedicated high limit slot room, which is home to over 50 of the best new and classic slot themes on the market, including Dragon Cash, Lightning Cash, Ultimate Fire Link, Top Dollar, TRP DBL DIA and Double Gold. The room features three-pod bases and spacers maximizing comfort for players.

In addition to expanding and elevating its slot offerings, Delaware Park Casino added a brand-new high limit table game pit, complete with six new games, increasing the casino’s total table games to 34. The new high limit table game pit includes three Midi Baccarat games, each with Five Treasure and Dragon bonus side bet options; an EZ Baccarat game with Panda and Dragon side bet options; and two high limit Blackjack games with Lucky Ladies and Match the Dealer side bet options. Just outside of the pit, players can enjoy the brand-new electronic Big Six Wheel and electronic craps.

At the center of the casino’s enhanced gaming experience is its brand-new player rewards club with a new location and welcoming modern design enabling ease of access for guests to check their offers, re-print cards, claim any sweepstakes, and engage in the casino’s loyalty program.

Expanded Culinary Offerings

To round out the elevated gaming additions and create a comprehensive experience for guests, Delaware Park Casino has made substantial investments to its food and beverage program, beginning with the casino’s recently appointed executive chef, Rob Gary. Gary has been hard at work redefining the dining experience with creative new dining concepts, menu additions, and efficient and sustainable equipment and packaging to improve operations. The most notable new and enhanced offerings include:

- Foo Noodle, the casino’s new pan-Asian quick service noodle bar, is a welcomed addition to the high limit table games pit and helps diversify the casino’s culinary portfolio with favorites like Pho, Bahn Mi, Beijing chicken, stir fry and more.

- R Bar, the new upscale bar adjacent to the beautiful new high limit slot room, is modern, elevated, and full of energy with an open concept that creates a connection point between the casino’s main thoroughfares. R Bar features seasonal hand-crafted cocktails, bar-top slots, and five tv’s showcasing top sporting events.

- Rooney’s, the long-time staple at Delaware Park Casino has been upgraded with eco-friendly ventless equipment that uses structured air technology from Alto Shaam, allowing for expanded opportunities for exciting menu additions, which have been very well received. The new Brisket Cheesesteak quickly became a favorite among patrons with over 1,000 ordered during its first month on the menu. Additionally, the casino is thrilled to announce the return of breakfast at Rooney’s. Back by popular demand, the breakfast menu will feature favorites including breakfast sandwiches and platters.

“I am so energized in my new role at Delaware Park Casino. The opportunity for creativity and innovation to the culinary program is boundless, and the work that has been done to the property through this renovation underscores the commitment and investment by the ownership group and casino leadership to make this the best casino in the region,” said Executive Chef Rob Gary. “This is only the beginning of our culinary transformation, and I can’t wait to share what’s next.”

Through the leadership of Glebocki and Stephen D’Emilio, Vice President of Food & Beverage—paired with the creativity of Executive Chef Gary— enhancements and investment to Delaware Park Casino’s culinary program will continue, with a focus now aimed at the venue’s full-service dining establishments. Details surrounding the plans for the full-service establishments will be announced in the coming months.

Glebocki stated, “our goal is to be a sought-after destination at the forefront of gaming while offering a premier guest experience. To do this, we will be continually innovating our offerings with new and exciting announcements coming soon. Stay tuned!”

In less than one year since her appointment as President and General Manager, Glebocki has transformed Delaware Park Casino and created substantial opportunity for the venue’s sustained growth and innovation, while maintaining its stronghold as a community staple. Beyond what she has done at the property, Glebocki continues to be a champion and respected leader within the community, as well as the state of Delaware, evidenced by her recent appointment to the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce’s Governing Board.
