Davis named Influencer of Law winner by Philadelphia Inquirer27 March 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- SugarHouse Casino attorney Evan Davis has been selected as an Influencer of Law winner by The Philadelphia Inquirer. The casino’s vice president and general counsel was honored in the In-House Counsel category. The awards program recognizes law professionals based on honorees’ accomplishments in specialized practice, their business impact, and their civic and community achievements. Winners were recognized during the annual Influencers of Law awards luncheon on Tuesday, 26 March. In addition to the ceremony, winners and their expanded profiles were featured in The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Sunday Business section on Sunday, 24 March. Davis joined SugarHouse in 2015 and oversees all legal matters for the company. He is a member of the casino’s executive team, working directly with all department leaders at the property. As an on-site resource, Davis has developed workplace policies and procedures to secure a positive impact on all levels of business operations. A dedicated Team Member, Davis volunteers with SugarHouse’s philanthropic efforts, which includes assisting at the Rizzo Police Athletic League center and delivering turkeys before Thanksgiving to those in need. Davis also serves on the board of directors of the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation. Davis earned a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University and a Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he served as a senior editor on the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. |
