Date change announced for SiGMA World 2027 in Rome5 November 2026(PRESS RELEASE) -- SiGMA Group has announced that SiGMA World 2027 will move its Rome show to May, following feedback from clients, exhibitors and industry partners calling for a more balanced European event calendar. The decision reflects a clear message from the market: the industry wants the three biggest European events for gaming spread more evenly throughout the year. By moving Rome to May, we aim to establish approximately four-month intervals between the three events in Rome, Barcelona, and Lisbon, giving businesses more time to prepare, plan budgets, engage with clients and maximize their return on participation. Reflecting on the move, SiGMA Group Founder, Eman Pulis, said, “We have listened and taken the bold decision to move our show to May. We’ve taken this decision in the best interest of the industry.” Listening to the industry The move is part of our wider commitment to reducing event fatigue and creating a more predictable calendar for the global gaming industry. With an increasing number of conferences and exhibitions competing for attention, we believe that better spacing between major events will benefit exhibitors, sponsors, delegates and the wider industry. Our clients and partners have been clear about what they need: a more balanced calendar that gives them enough time to prepare, participate and get real value from each event. We want every summit to feel like a major occasion, not just another date in an overcrowded calendar. A more balanced calendar benefits everyone, but getting there requires organizers to be willing to adapt. We’ve chosen to take that step by moving Rome to May, putting the needs of our clients and the wider industry first. A bigger festival experience in Rome The move to May will also allow us to take advantage of more favorable weather conditions and to significantly expand the outdoor footprint of its Rome event. We plan to triple our outdoor presence in 2027, creating a much larger festival atmosphere with additional space for networking, entertainment, hospitality and community experiences. The expanded format will bring together business, networking and entertainment on a larger scale, reinforcing SiGMA World’s position as a major international gathering for the gaming industry. Building a smarter global event calendar The changes reflect a broader strategy to make our international events more effective, better positioned and more valuable for the businesses that attend them. Rather than adding to an already crowded industry calendar, we’re focused on creating the right conditions for each event to deliver stronger attendance, better networking opportunities and greater commercial impact. The objective is straightforward: better spacing, better experiences, and greater impact for clients, partners, and the industry as a whole. Further changes to the 2027 World Tour As part of its wider calendar review, we’re also assessing the timing of other international events to ensure they are aligned with market developments and industry demand.
