D.C. Slot Supporters Accused of Misconduct

WASHINGTON, D.C. – As reported by the Allegations of misconduct and criminal behavior have emerged surrounding one group's push to bring slots to the Nation's Capitol.

"These accusations come from Martha Ward, a member of the group DC Against Slots. Ward had a hunch something wasn't right about the way the pro-slots faction was collecting signatures across the city so she infiltrated the other side.

"Martha Ward decided to sign-up for a class where she says she found out City election laws were ignored and even encouraged to be broken.

"Opponents of the District's proposed casino referendum have a big weekend ahead.

"…They'll be checking whether the circulators were District residents over 18 years-old. They'll also be looking for evidence of fraud among the individual signatures…"
