D.C. Group Wants Slots

WASHINGTON, DC – As reported by NBC: "The newest battleground over legalizing slots is in the District.

"A group wants to collect signatures on petitions to put a slots referendum on the D.C. ballot in November. But a group of citizens is trying to block the measure in court.

"…The proposal envisions an emporium with slots and video games generating revenue for the District, possibly creating new jobs. It would be built in Northeast Washington on New York Avenue at Bladensburg Road…"
