Crown Casino Denies Drug Claim Use

AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Australia Age: "Crown Casino has hit back at a newspaper over a report alleging unchecked drug use in the toilets of the Palladium during the Logies entertainment awards.

"The report alleges a majority of samples it tested from the men's and women's toilets at the venue during and after the awards ceremony last month showed traces of cocaine and amphetamines.

"'With all the best will in the world I would say I don't necessarily believe everything I read in the Sunday Herald Sun,' Crown spokesman Gary O'Neill said.

"…Mr O'Neill says while Crown provides security in the public areas of the complex outside privately organised events like the Logies, the organisers, in this case TV Week, are responsible for checking people as they enter the event.

"…Mr O'Neill says Crown is concerned about the possible impact of reports of drug use on its image…"
