Crowds Flock to Borgata Party

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – As reported by the Press of Atlantic City: "A few hours into Saturday's Fantasy Island party at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Rob, a security guard, somehow found himself working Stuff Magazine's 39th and Sixth Model Search tent.

"Saturday was the first of the two-day Fantasy Island at the Borgata.

"Billed as more than a concert, and with $150 tickets to match, the event threw everything at concertgoers. It included bands and DJs on two stages, old-school carnival rides and games, sports, massages and camel rides and lightly infused it all with the gray, mesquite-infused output from what was arguably the world's largest barbecue smoker grill.

"…Several thousand people were expected to attend, drawn from cities hundreds of miles away.

"The festival continues today, at the 10-acre Fantasy Island site behind the casino. John Mayer and '80s metal throwbacks The Darkness headline today's show.

"…On the other side of the field, three basketball players in matching uniforms took on all challengers for a game of half-court basketball. Cheerleaders in green uniforms shook pom poms while an announcer encouraged the challengers…"
