Country superstar to visit Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland14 June 2017(PRESS RELEASE) -- Country music artist Aaron Tippin brings his rustic vocals and smash hits to Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland on 21 June. The free admission show at Lee Creek Tavern begins at 8 p.m. In 1991, Tippin broke into the country music scene with his honest lyrics and direct, impassioned vocals. His first single, "You've Got to Stand for Something," peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard charts. The song became popular among the soldiers fighting in the Gulf War at the time, because of its message of standing up for one's beliefs. He soon became known for being a neotraditional country musician, primarily singing for the working class. A year later, he released his second album, "Read Between the Lines," which produced the No. 1 single "There Ain't Nothin' Wrong With the Radio." Since his debut, Tippin has released an impressive nine studio albums, five compilation albums, a Christmas album and, most recently, a specialty album titled "He Believed," which is exclusive to Cracker Barrel restaurants. From those albums, Tippin has released 35 singles, of which 33 charted on the Billboard Hot Country Songs. Tippin's collection of hit singles include "My Blue Angel," "The Call of the Wild," "People Like Us," "I Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way," "Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly," which was recorded after the attacks on 9/11 to remind people what it means to be American, and the No. 1 hits "Kiss This" and "That's as Close as I'll Get to Loving You."
