Country singers join forces at Cherokee Casino Roland19 July 2017(PRESS RELEASE) -- Featuring songs like "She's More" and "I Let Her Lie," country traditionalists Andy Griggs and Daryle Singletary have joined forces to play a free public show on 28 July at Lee Creek Tavern, located inside Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland. The artists take the stage at 8 p.m. Local country artist Cody Martin closes out the show at 10 p.m. Griggs released his debut album in 1999, "You Won't Ever Be Lonely" by RCA Records Nashville. The album was certified gold by the RIAA, with five singles charting on the Billboard Country Charts. "I'll Go Crazy," "You Won't Ever Be Lonely" and "She's More" broke the Top 10 hits, with the last two titles reaching the No. 2 spot. The album propelled Griggs' career, with his album spending 36 weeks on the charts. The artist released his second album, "Freedom," in 2002. The album's single "Tonight I Wanna Be Your Man" became Griggs' fourth Top 10 hit, gracing the charts at No. 7. Griggs has since released two more albums, 2004's "This I Gotta See" and 2008's "The Good Life," both seeing Billboard success. Griggs is joined by Singletary for the rock-solid performance. Singletary has released seven studio albums and one live album since his career started with his self-titled debut album in 1995. The record produced fan favorites such as "I Let Her Lie" and "Too Much Fun," reaching No. 2 and No. 4 on the Billboard Country Charts, respectively. Other fan favorites include "Amen Kind of Love," "I'm Living Up to Her Low Expectations," "The Note," "My Baby's Lovin'" and "I'd Love to Lay You Down," each having peaked on the Billboard Top 50. His newest album, "There's Still a Little Country Left," was released in 2015. |
