Could a lottery bail out Detroit?

DETRIOIT, Michigan -- A state legislator will explore whether a lottery might aide Detroit, according to the Detroit News.

State Rep. Jimmy Womack, D-Detroit is keen to explore whether a lottery would help the city's deficit, the report said.

To that end he'll meet with the state lottery commission to discuss the potential, the Detroit News reported.
