Connecticut Slots Have Winter Blahs

CONNECTICUT – As reported by the Connecticut Day: "Fewer weekend days and the clinging winter weather combined to make March a so-so month for slot machine revenue at Foxwoods Resort Casino and Mohegan Sun.

"Foxwoods won $64.9 million from its customers, which was 3.8 percent less than the same month in 2003. Players put $776.9 million through the casino's machines, a 4.1 percent drop from the previous year.

"Mohegan Sun's win grew by .08 percent to $67.5 million, and its handle increased by .98 percent to $828.2 million.

"…Mohegan Sun has won more money from its slot machine customers than Foxwoods for the past six months."
