Connecticut Casino Report Mixed Slot Results

CONNECTICUT – As reported by the Connecticut Day: "Mohegan Sun increased its slot machine winnings by more than 5 percent last month, to $74.9 million, while the house win at Foxwoods Resort Casino dropped more than 6 percent, to $68.8 million.

"William Sherlock, Foxwoods' president and chief executive, said the higher numbers in October 2004 were a result of the grand opening of the Rainmaker Casino expansion, Hard Rock Café and new parking garage.

"…He said the casino closed out the previous year with a 2.3 percent overall gain in slot machine win, $817.2 million compared to 798.7 million in 2004.

"Mitchell Etess, president and chief executive of Mohegan Sun, said the casino performed well despite some of the market conditions last month…"
