Competing Projects Pitched to Board

PENNSYLVANIA – As reported by the Pocono Record: "In a clash of titans Mount Airy Lodge owner Louis Denaples and Pocono Manor owner Greg Matzel pitched their competing casino projects to the state Gaming Control Board this morning at Split Rock Lodge.

"Denaples, in a surprise move, testified in person. The controversial landfill owner denied ties to the board and promised to operate his casino with integrity.

"Matzel promised a big project with more jobs and tax revenue. He wants to make Pocono Manor a national tourist destination with extensive shopping, entertainment and recreation…"
