Commerce Casino Files Lawsuit Against Gaming Compact

LOS ANGELES, California – As reported by the Long Beach Press-Telegram: "Commerce Casino filed a lawsuit Friday alleging the Indian gaming compact approved by the Legislature and signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on July 1 is constitutionally invalid.

"According to the complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, AB 687 made several 'radical changes and additions' to existing law, such as allowing the five tribes affected by the bill to operate an unlimited number of slot machines…"
