Comedians, musicians and movie stars to visit Mystic Lake Casino

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Mystic Lake will kick off the celebration early with a concert by Buddy Guy on Saturday, 30 December at 8 p.m. in the Mystic Showroom. New Year's Eve performances on Sunday, 31 December include Morris Day and The Time at 5 p.m. and comedian Dane Cook at 9:30 p.m. in the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel Showroom.

New Year's Eve festivities include free live entertainment on the casino floor, giveaways and food and drink specials. Partygoers can get a free souvenir photo and be part of an exciting countdown to the new year.

In an incomparable career that spans over 50 years, Buddy Guy's career highlights include seven Grammy awards, 37 Blues Music Awards, Kennedy Center Honor, the Presidential National Medal of Arts and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He is a major influence on rock titans like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Minneapolis legends Morris Day and The Time captured the exploding '80s music scene with their funky R&B hits like "Jungle Love" and "The Bird." They were cast in Purple Rain which captured the exploding Minneapolis music scene at its peak.

Actor and comedian Dane Cook is known for cutting-edge material that pushes the envelope. He is the only comedian to ever break the Billboard Top 4 twice with the release of his album "ISolated INcident." Cook's prior stand-up releases have achieved major success with "Harmful if Swallowed," certified platinum, "Retaliation," certified double platinum, and "Rough Around the Edges," certified gold. He also starred in films "Employee of the Month," "Mr. Brooks," "Dan in Real Life" and "Good Luck Chuck."
