Comedian DeRay Davis performing at Rivers Casino Philadelphia14 August 2023(PRESS RELEASE) -- Get ready for a night filled with laughter and non-stop fun when DeRay Davis brings his hilarious stand-up comedy to Rivers Casino Philadelphia on Wednesday, 22 November at 8 p.m. Davis is a multifaceted comedian who has entertained on stage and on the big screen. Tickets for this touring show start at $29 and will go on sale on Friday, 18 August at 10 a.m. Davis is best known for his comedic takes on what it means to grow up black and poor on Chicago's South Side. During his impressive career that spans over two decades, Davis has earned a loyal fan base through his appearances in hit films and television shows as well as his unforgettable stand-up performances. His acting includes roles in the "Barbershop" trilogy, "Semi-Pro" and "21 Jump Street." "We can’t wait for DeRay Davis to bring his gritty-yet-hilarious stand-up comedy to The Event Center," said Eric Althaus, general manager of Rivers Casino Philadelphia. "His comedic brilliance and boundless energy promise to deliver a night of laughter." In addition to appearing in movies, Davis has had recurring roles in the FX series "Snowfall" and Fox’s "Empire." Prior to that, he made a name for himself in the stand-up world by winning Comedy Central’s Laugh Riots Competition and appearing in the Cedric the Entertainer Festival.
