3 April 2013

NEW BUFFALO, Michigan -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians' Four Winds® Casinos are pleased to announce upcoming performances at Four Winds New Buffalo's Silver Creek Event Center by Collective Soul on Thursday, June 27; the Temptations on Friday, July 19; and Chicago on Friday, July 26. Tickets for these concerts can be purchased beginning on Friday, April 5 at 10 a.m. Eastern, exclusively through Ticketmaster. Ticket prices start at $25 for Collective Soul; $20 for the Temptations; and $61 for Chicago.

Collective Soul, who burst onto the scene in 1993 with their number one hit "Shine," is known for catchy melodies and guitar driven songs. Their second self-titled album produced three more number one hits, went Triple-Platinum, and spent 76 weeks on the Billboard Top 200 charts. In 2008, Collective Soul's song "Tremble for my Beloved" was featured on the soundtrack for the hit movie "Twilight."

Founded in 1961 by Otis Williams, the Temptations had their first number one hit "My Girl" in 1964. Since then, the Temptations have become an institution noted for their precise choreography and vocal blend of R&B. A continuous line up of five talented male singers working together as a vocal powerhouse has propelled the Temptations throughout their 50 year history. The Temptations are members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and are listed as one of the top 50 bands of all time in Rolling Stone Magazine. The band has also won four Grammy® Awards, had 18 number one Billboard singles, 23 top ten singles, and 10 top ten albums.

Hailed as one of the "most important bands in music since the dawn of the rock and roll era" by former President Bill Clinton, Chicago is the first American band to chart Top 40 albums in five consecutive decades and is Billboard's highest charting American band of all time. Lifetime achievements include a Grammy Award, multiple American Music Awards, elected as Founding Artists to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a Chicago street dedicated in their honor, and keys to and proclamations from an impressive list of U.S. cities. Record sales top the 100 million mark, and include 21 Top 10 singles, five consecutive number one albums, 11 number one singles and five gold singles. An incredible 25 of their 34 albums have been certified platinum, and the band has a total of 47 gold and platinum awards.

Four Winds New Buffalo's Silver Creek Event Center is a 1,500 seat, multi-use facility that is located next to the casino floor. In addition to hosting concerts, the 17,000 sq. ft. event center can be reconfigured to host a variety of meetings, special events, conferences, and banquets.
