Coachella Valley Poker Championship returns

For just a $1,000 buy-in, players will have a shot at the $45,000.00 top prize! Second prize is $30,000.00 and third prize is $19,500.00. All top 20 finishers will receive prize money. The $1,000 buy-in receives $10,000 in tournament chips for the No-Limit Texas Hold'em event. The entry fee breaks down as follows: $900 to the prize pool, $90 to the house, and $10 to dealer tip.

Should the tournament draw more than 167 players, the prize pool will be increased by $900 for every additional entry, making the tournament that much sweeter for every one of the top 20 finalists.

Tournament action gets underway on Friday, where players will battle down to the final table. On Saturday, the action heats up again with players again vying for a coveted seat at the final table. Sunday's competition features both of the final tables in exciting winner-take-all action.

The event takes place in the Spotlight Showroom on January 18-20, 2008. Registration is open now by calling (760) 863-5153. Players are advised to register early to guarantee themselves a shot at the big money and the title of Coachella Valley Poker Champion.
