Clubgoers support Blackpool's super-casino dream

BLACKPOOL, England – As reported by the Blackpool Today: "We're backing Blackpool!

"That's the message from clubgoers at some of the resort's most famous venues about Blackpool's supercasino dream.

"Local entrepreneur and club-owner Basil Newby, who runs In The Pink Leisure, has been doing his bit to boost The Gazette's Sign Up for Blackpool campaign by asking guests at ITPL venues to add their names to our petition.

"The campaign calls on Tessa Jowell to consider carefully the detrimental effect losing out on the supercasino licence would have on Blackpool.

"…A total of 8,845 people have signed the petition since the campaign began last month and it has received the backing of local celebrities, including ice king Dan Whiston and Emmerdale star Hayley Tamaddon…"
