City, county mayors to discuss impact of Genting plan12 October 2011MIAMI, Florida -- The city of Miami and Miami-Dade County are forming an alliance to look at the costs and impact of Genting's proposed casino plan, The Miami Herald reported. Both the city Mayor and county Mayor want to prepare "a united front" before the legislative session when the gambling bill will come up for discussion, the report said. An important question yet to be addressed is how any potential tax revenue from the project would be divided up, The Miami Herald report made note. |
