Circus Circus Las Vegas' Adventuredome celebrates its 30th anniversary

2 August 2023

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Circus Circus Hotel Casino in Las Vegas is celebrating 30 years of thrill and excitement at the legendary Adventuredome during the month of August. The five-acre Las Vegas Strip amusement park welcomed its first guests on 23 August 1993, and has since welcomed more than a million people a year.

Over the last 30 years, the amusement park has continuously evolved with new rides, games and entertainment offerings—without comprising the core value of providing a one-of-a-kind, family-friendly experience aimed to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Today, the Adventuredome—encapsulated within the iconic pink glass dome—offers fun-provoking games and rides for all ages, including the Canyon Blaster, El Loco rollercoasters, NebulaZ, Sand Pirate, Inverter, Twistin Tea Cups, Go Karts, a rock-climbing wall, arcade, carnival-style games, virtual reality games, and an 18-hole miniature golf course, among many, many more.

More than 300 teammates are responsible for bringing the fun everyday to the Adventuredome, from clowns to circus performers, to incredibly important teammates who work across all the entertainment, operations, merchandise, and concessions across the property.

In celebration of the milestone anniversary and the summer season, Circus Circus is offering lower prices across all their entertainment offerings through Labor Day. Park-goers may enjoy 25% off wristbands during “Kids Happy Hour” from Adventuredome opening until 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. For those not interested in rides, the famous Carnival Midway is giving away $10 in additional play credits free with the purchase of a $40 play card.

The commemoration of this major milestone doesn’t stop at lower prices. Celebrations continue throughout the month, as we invite locals and visitors from around the world to International Clown Week, August 1-7, National Roller Coaster Day, August 16, and the park’s official 30th anniversary, August 23.

“The last 30 years have showcased the importance of having a family-friendly and exhilarating entertainment on the Las Vegas Strip,” said Shana Gerety, senior vice president of operations, Circus Circus. “Adventuredome has become a cross-generational experience for so many, where guests experienced it as kids and are now experiencing it with their kids, or even grandkids. It’s not often that nostalgia of this caliber can be experienced, and we’re honored to be able to provide people with these lifelong memories.”

Recently, Circus Circus announced the addition of two entertainment experiences on property. The Garage, located across from the Adventuredome, boasts the highly immersive “Birdly” virtual reality (VR), exciting neon mini-bowling alleys and Full Swing Video Golf Simulators which includes golf, soccer, baseball, dodge ball, down the pin, and many more. Circus Circus has raised the game in axe throwing with their new venue “Axe it Up.” Take part in standard bullseye or take your chance at Tic-Tac-Toe, Bottle Crush, Zombie Crush, Duck Hunt, and our spin on Blackjack, “21.” Rates starting at $15 per person and available for anyone ages 12 and over.

As families and thrill seekers alike look to make memories for a lifetime, Circus Circus reminds hotel guests to check out Splash Zone, a year-round water park, featuring two refreshing pools, relaxing whirlpool, a splash pad filled with water cannons, spill buckets, rain trees, and the fan-favorite 50-foot slide tower featuring the Mat Racer, Aqua Tube, and Speed Slide.
