Circa Sports releases March Madness 2023 odds14 March 2023(PRESS RELEASE) -- March hoops season is here, and it’s time for the fun to begin. Las Vegas sports betting venture Circa Sports has officially released its odds for the 2023 championship tournament, including regional odds, national championship odds and first round lines. After Sunday’s bracket release of the 68 teams, the oddsmakers at Circa Sports immediately set to work putting up lines for the first weekend and odds for futures markets. By Monday morning, the team had released odds on which school will win the national championship and which one will advance out of each region, as well as the lines on each game for the first round. The South Region features the No. 1 overall seed, Alabama, and is a strong favorite to advance from the South at +160. The next highest team, Arizona, is +375. If bettors do not believe in Alabama, whether because of talent or the possible off-court distractions, they can bet that the team will not win the South Region at -195. At +150, Houston is considered the team in the entire region most likely to reach the national semifinals—which would happen to take place in Houston. Texas follows closely behind them at +350. The odds for Midwest Region from Circa Sports are below: - Houston +150 - Texas +350 - Xavier +800 - Indiana +1000 - Texas A&M +1200 - Miami +1300 - Iowa +1800 - Iowa State +1800 - Auburn +3000 -Penn State +3000 - Drake +6000 - Mississippi State +6000 - Pittsburgh +6000 - Kent State +7500 - Colgate +12500 - Northern Kentucky +15000 - Kennesaw State +25000 The West Region, which has the teams who will advance play the second weekend in Las Vegas, is by far the most wide-open region at the top. The No. 1 seed in the region, Kansas, is at only +370 to advance out of the region. UCLA is +380, and Gonzaga and UConn are both +400. Even the fifth seed, TCU, is only +1000, which is not as high as any other region has for their fifth favorite. It could get wild in Vegas before the championship. Alabama, now the second favorite, moved from +900 to +800. Duke fell, as they were +1850 to win the championship on Sunday morning but are currently sitting at +2150. Marquette also fell from +3500 to +2800. Texas is now the seventh favorite, moving from +1800 to +1400. Below are the odds for the top 10 teams to win the national basketball championship at Circa Sports: - Houston +550 - Alabama +800 - Kansas +800 - UCLA +1000 - Purdue +1200 - Gonzaga +1400 - Texas +1400 - UConn +1500 - Arizona +1800 - Duke +2150 Finally, Circa Sports released lines for all of the first-round games, including the first four playing on Tuesday and Wednesday. The biggest favorite of the games listed (not including the first-round games with opponents that are yet to be determined) is Kansas, which is a 22-point favorite over Howard. The game that the oddsmakers at Circa Sports currently view as the closest is Auburn and Iowa, which currently sits at a pick’em. Other games the oddsmakers believe will be close include Utah State and Missouri (Utah State -1), Northwestern and Boise State (Northwestern -1.5) as well as Memphis and FAU (FAU -2).
