Christmas Island wants casinos reopened21 November 2007CHRISTMAS ISLAND, Australia -- As reported by Radio Australia: "Residents on Christmas Island say whoever wins the Australian federal election on Saturday must commit to reopening the local casino or the island's economy will continue to suffer. "In 2004, the Federal Government blocked an application to re-open the casino which had folded six years earlier.
