Chinese Mayors Visit Mississippi

BILOXI, Mississippi – As reported by the Mississippi Sun Herald: "Thirty mayors and deputy mayors from China visited Biloxi on Thursday to learn how casinos have changed the city.

"…They traveled to New Orleans this week as part of a conference on urban development, sponsored by the American Planning Association and Tulane Regional Urban Design Center.

"Biloxi was not part of the conference schedule, but Tulane architecture professor Grover Mouton III wanted the group to learn about Biloxi's urban development and how gaming has changed the city.

"Mouton said there are no casinos in China but said casinos probably will open there soon…"
