Chile casino must pay compensation for discrimination

CHILE -- A Chilean casino must pay a fine and compensation for discriminating against a woman with Down syndrome, The Santiago Times reported.

The Supreme Court upheld an Appeals Court decision on the incident which occurred in 2006, The Santiago Times reported.

The woman, who was with her mother, when refused entry to the casino will receive close to $10,000 in damages, the report said.
