Chicago Teachers' Union Leader Blasts Gambling Plan

ILLINOIS – As reported by the The president of the Chicago Teachers Union on Friday blasted Gov. Blagojevich's latest education revenue plan, saying it merely put a "Band-Aid' on a serious, structural funding problem.

"One day after Blagojevich proposed doubling the number of slot machines and gaming tables in existing casinos to pump money into cash-strapped schools, the head of the state's largest teachers union weighed in on the plan.
