Chartwell launches new slot game

18 April 2011

CALGARY, Alberta -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Chartwell Technology Inc., a leading provider of games, gaming systems and platform for the regulated online casino gaming industry, is excited to announce that its latest 25-line slot game, Serengeti Diamonds, was launched on its new Rapid Game Deployment infrastructure.

Features in this exciting African-themed slot include a double action bonus round and a Scatter bonus. The Scatter bonus triggers a popular pick-a-prize game, which determines up to 10 free spins and up to an 8x multiplier. Serengeti Diamonds™ is Chartwell's first slot game available on the company's new Rapid Game Deployment infrastructure (RGD) and joins Ultimate Texas Hold'em™ - Chartwell's latest table game, which was released three weeks ago, utilizing RGD.

RGD enables Chartwell clients to quickly and easily deploy games as they're made available - with zero downtime. Clients can deploy the games utilizing far fewer resources, which means significantly reduced cost to the client and the opportunity to generate revenue faster by rapidly deploying Chartwell's casino titles.

Clinton Begin, VP Software Development of Chartwell states, "This new technology is the latest step in Chartwell's strategic plan to continue to focus on its exciting online casino offering and increase the volume of game output throughout 2011 and beyond. RGD can integrate directly with the Chartwell Games Platform and top third-party game content, thus positioning Chartwell to take a leading role in providing Platform as a Service solutions to the iGaming industry."

Now that Chartwell's product roadmap is on a steady course for success, Dan Phillips, CEO of Chartwell Games (International) Ltd. has decided to leave his role to pursue other opportunities on the operations side of the iGaming industry.

"We wish Dan well for the future, and thank him for the contribution he has made to the company," states Dave Acorn, Chartwell COO, who will be picking up Phillips' day-to-day responsibilities until a replacement is on board.
