Championship boxing returns to Live! Casino and Hotel5 February 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- Back by popular demand, Live! Casino & Hotel and Jeter Promotions today announced the return of Championship Boxing to the Live! Event Center on Friday, 8 March 2019. Laurel, MD native Demond "D'Bestatit" Nicholson (20-3-1) will square off against Jessie Nicklow (27-9-3) of Baltimore. Last summer, Nicholson dispatched his opponent in a KO to win the WBC-USNBC Super Middleweight Title during the Championship Boxing debut at the Live! Event Center. Nicholson, Nicklow, and other fighters on the Undercard will participate in a Media Meet & Greet on Tuesday, 19 February from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Odenton Fitness (828 Telegraph Rd, Suite D, Odenton, MD 21113). For media only, not open to the public. Two of the most exciting match-ups on the Undercard feature Live! Casino & Hotel bartender Dante "The Red Comet" Cox (3-0), of Elkridge, MD, who will return to the ring to take on Dravontay "Speed" Rawls (10-1), of Glenarden, MD; and making his Professional Debut, Baltimore City police officer Brandon Chambers will match up against Natron McLean (0-2), of Sanford, NC. Other local fighters on the Undercard include Derrick Corley (1-2), son of D.C. veteran fighter DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley, versus Sam Crossed (8-0), of Greenbelt, MD; Francisco Bustos (8-0), of Rockville, MD, versus Donald Wallace (3-1-1), of Baltimore, MD; AJ Williams (0-1), of Baltimore, MD, versus Dameron Kirby (0-2), of Washington, D.C.; and Ebrima Jawara, of Laurel, MD, versus Malik Loften (1-1), of Suitland, MD.
