Chair of Singapore Problem Gambling Council Chosen

SINGAPORE – As reported by the ChannelNewsAsia: "The president and CEO of United Industrial Corporation, Mr Lim Hock San, has been appointed Chairman of the National Council on Problem Gambling.

"He will head a 15-member team with expertise and experience in public communications, psychiatry and psychology, counselling and rehabilitative services.

"The Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports says the council will serve a two-year term beginning 31st August.

"…The council will provide advice and feedback to the ministry on public education programmes to promote public awareness on problem gambling…"
