Centaur's Lawrence County casino plans in jeopardy8 August 2008HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania -- As reported by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette: "Centaur Inc.'s plan to build a $425 million racetrack/casino in Lawrence County appears to be in serious trouble. "Debtwire, a financial news service, reported today that according to its sources, Centaur's lenders are trying 'to abort (the) Pennsylvania racino project (and) get repaid early.' "...Debtwire said Centaur is now in talks repay lenders early and to cancel its Pittsburgh-area casino development. "Centaur spokeswoman Susan Kilkenny said the company was continuing to negotiate with its lenders..." |
