Celestia to debut at The STRAT Hotel and Casino8 May 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- Celestia, an all-new, one-of-a-kind immersive production experience, will debut at The STRAT Hotel, Casino and SkyPod with previews beginning Saturday, 11 May 2019, and a grand opening set for Wednesday, 5 June. Produced by Intrigue Shows, this tour de force of acrobatics, technology, artistry and imagination will perform eight shows a week in a unique 200,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art theatrical tent located along the Las Vegas Strip. Set within a celestial world that brings the journey of our protagonists to life through elite acrobatics and dance, aerial feats, live music, state-of-the-art technology and overwhelming imagination, Celestia showcases a talented troupe of more than two dozen multicultural performers to create an eye-popping, immersive experience. From mind-blowing contortion to the Wheel of Death act, Celestia’s world-class performers include favorites from NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” including Sergey and Sasha, the hand and head balancing father-daughter duo featured on seasons 10 and 13, as well as the Sandou Trio Russian Bar, who appeared on seasons 3 and 11 and were also featured in the hit film, “The Greatest Showman.” “With an incredible cast of world-class performance artists surrounded by cutting-edge video and lighting, Celestia pushes the boundaries of our imagination creating a truly immersive, and jaw-dropping theatrical experience,” said executive producer Brian Burke. “We redirected the show in a more modern, contemporary direction that audiences are expecting to see now featuring truly unique and exciting human performances with breathtaking visuals.” Suitable for audiences of all ages, the 70-minute show is perfect for both Las Vegas locals and those visiting from around the world. This awe-inspiring show, in a never-before-seen proprietary tent, is the first production of this magnitude to take place on this part of the Las Vegas Strip, which appropriately serves as the gateway to the city’s burgeoning Arts District. Celestia’s new executive producer, Brian Burke, has brought to life countless other productions on the Vegas stage as creative director including Pitbull’s Time of Our Lives residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino; Le Reve – The Dream at Wynn Las Vegas; and Celine Dion’s …A New Day at Caesars Palace. Brian is currently creative producer on several top TV shows including “America’s Got Talent” and “American Idol.” Burke has produced hundreds of live performances for countless top artists including Keith Urban, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Celine Dion, Nick Jonas, BTS, Pitbull, Fall Out Boy, KISS, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Chris Brown, Lenny Kravitz, Lionel Ritchie and Stevie Nicks. The show’s director, Allegra Libonati, has directed several productions on and off Broadway, as well as all across the country and around the world. Celestia’s creative team also includes aerial and acrobatic choreographer John Brady, whose career has transitioned from performing in many of Cirque du Soleil’s acclaimed shows to serving as part of the creative team for companies including Cirque du Soleil, Broadway Asia and Franco Dragone Entertainment. Celestia’s choreographer, Ron Todorowski, has starred in some of Broadway’s biggest hits and was the assistant choreographer for Celine Dion’s first Las Vegas residency, ...A New Day. Lighting designer Tom Sutherland is direct from Taylor Swift’s Reputation Tour Netflix special. Composer Michael Brennan has composed numerous Franco Dragone productions around the world and his partner, vocal producer AnnMarie Milazzo, has created numerous Broadway productions and was honored with a Grammy nomination. Celestia will have eight performances per week, with 7 p.m. shows on Wednesdays and Thursdays and 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. shows on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and is dark Mondays and Tuesdays.
