Cedric the Entertainer heads for SugarHouse Casino

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Known for his crowd-pleasing performances, Cedric the Entertainer & Friends will bring a night of laughter to the SugarHouse Casino Event Center on Saturday, 21 July at 8 p.m. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday, 6 April at 10 a.m. and cost $79 to $99.

Cedric has created a tremendously successful career spanning film, live performances and television. He is considered one of the premier entertainers in the world. Cedric's work can be seen in numerous hit films and television series in which he has starred alongside some of the most renowned actors, including the "Barbershop" franchise with Ice Cube, "Be Cool" with John Travolta, "Intolerable Cruelty" with George Clooney and as a recognizable voice in the top-ranked animated "Madagascar" movies.

"The comedy acts continue to bring laughs to SugarHouse — and Cedric the Entertainer & Friends is the perfect addition," said Wendy Hamilton, general manager of SugarHouse Casino. "With Cedric's portfolio of hilarious films, SugarHouse is definitely in for a treat!"

Most recently, Cedric has completed filming the soon-to-be released dramatic feature film "First Reformed," co-starring Amanda Seyfried and Ethan Hawke. Also debuting this April, Cedric will co-star opposite Tracy Morgan in the new TBS comedy series "The Last OG."

Tickets for Cedric the Entertainer & Friends' show and for all SugarHouse performances, including Buddy Guy (20 April), Night Ranger (27 April), Cheech and Chong (5 May), The B-52s (1 June), Vic DiBitetto (2 June) and Supertramp's Roger Hodgson (13 July) can be purchased on the SugarHouse Casino headliner events page.

In addition to live performances and concerts, the SugarHouse Casino Event Center can be reserved for a variety of occasions, including weddings, corporate receptions, seminars, trade shows and more. The space features floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views of the Delaware River waterfront and the Ben Franklin Bridge. Parking is always free.
