Cayuga Gaming Hall Temporarily Closes

NEW YORK – As reported by the Syracuse Post-Standard: "The Cayuga Indian Nation of New York has temporarily closed its video gaming hall in the town of Seneca Falls while it considers challenging a local law aimed at permanently shuttering the facility.

"'In our view, it's patently unconstitutional,' Christopher Amato, an Albany lawyer representing some tribal leaders, said of the law Tuesday.

"Meanwhile, the tribe has lowered its gas prices at its adjacent convenience market in Seneca Falls by some 50 cents a gallon to thank their customers for their 'continuing support'" And the Union Springs bingo hall and convenience stores remain open as well…"
