Cassadee Pope coming to Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs on Feb. 2015 February 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- Dynamic country artist Cassadee Pope brings her soaring vocals to Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs on Feb. 20. The free admission show at SEVEN Bar begins at 9 p.m. Pope released her debut album in May 2012. The self-labeled and self-titled extended play included four songs she has written. That summer, Pope auditioned for Season 3 of “The Voice.” She turned four chairs on the hit show and ultimately chose country singer Blake Shelton as her coach. In the third live round, Pope performed “Over You,” co-written by Shelton. The song reached No. 1 on the iTunes chart, knocking Psy's “Gangnam Style” down to No. 2. She was the only female contestant to advance to the Top 4 round, where she performed “Stupid Boy” by country singer-songwriter Sarah Buxton, which also reached No. 1 on iTunes. Pope then advanced to “The Voice” finals, winning the title on the live finale results day in December. An album compiling her performances on “The Voice” reached No. 1 on the Heatseekers chart. Her self-titled EP also re-entered the Heatseekers chart at No. 42. To ring in 2013, Pope performed “Stand” on “New Year's Eve with Carson Daly and again later that night with Grammy award-winning Train at the NIVEA Kiss Stage at Times Square. The lead single of her solo album, “Wasting All These Tears,” was released May 2013. The single debuted at No. 37 on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as No. 7 on the Billboard Hot County Songs chart, selling 125,000 copies in the first week of release. The album, “Frame by Frame,” was released in October 2013, selling more than one million downloads and peaking at No. 1 on the US Billboard Country charts. This solidified Pope as part of a distinct group of solo female country artists to score platinum RIAA certification of a debut single. Pope spent 2014 touring with country artists Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts and Dierks Bentley. She was featured on the “Nashville Outlaws: A Tribute to Motley Crue” album, where she covered “Animal In Me.” She offered a moving performance of “I Am Invincible” during the 2015 Special Olympics. Pope was awarded the 2014 CMT Music Awards' Breakthrough Video of the Year and nominated for a 2016 People's Choice Award for Favorite Country Female Artist. |
