Casino workers don flea collars

NEW ZEALAND – As reported by the New Zealand News 24: "Staff at a New Zealand casino are wearing flea collars designed for cats and dogs around their ankles to combat an infestation of the pests in the carpet, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

"…[The Herald] said the fleas apparently loved the warmth of the casino's carpet and the heat generated by gaming machines for breeding grounds.

"A spokesperson said that the Sky City casino in Auckland had an active pest management programme to deal with flea infestations, and had not been made aware of any recent problems."
