Casino Unit Studies Atlantic City Roads, Rail20 September 2006TLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- As reported by the Courier-Post: "Four new casinos could rise in Atlantic City within five years. "Add the number of towers expected and visitors could have as many as 15,000 new hotel rooms from which to choose. "...Just how will the people get into and around a confined island such as Atlantic City? The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority took a step toward answering that question Tuesday when it approved the preliminary eligibility toward funding a regional transportation master plan. "...The plan would examine how to improve Atlantic City's sometimes-gridlocked streets and how to create better access on the roads feeding the resort, including widening the Atlantic City Expressway and Garden State Parkway and building an exit off the expressway to the Atlantic City International Airport.
