Casino Trade Association Slams UK Bill17 March 2005UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the Camden Times: "The trade association for casinos has hit out at plans to build Las Vegas style resorts like Caesars Wembley. "The British Casino Association (BCA) has slammed the Gambling Bill for discriminating against British operators. "It said the introduction of super casinos will only benefit large overseas operators while unfairly penalising the existing industry. "The BCA is unhappy because the new regional casinos like Caesars Wembley will be able to offer up to 1,250 machines with unlimited prizes and stakes. "…The BCA is also worried the Bill could lead to significant job losses among the 12,500 people currently employed by Britain's casino industry…" |
